Lt. Stephen G. Harrell
FDNY Battalion 7
Warwick

Stephen G. Harrell died doing his job Sept. 11. Harrell's firehouse was right across the street from the Twin Towers. He ran into the World Trade Center to rescue comrades, strangers and perhaps his brother, Lt. Harvey Harrell Jr., who also died that day in the line of duty as a firefighter. He was funny and intelligent. His smile could brighten anyone's day. He is survived by his wife, Meghan Truppa Harrell, and his daughter, Holly Rae. He was 44.
