Firefighter Mark Whitford
FDNY Engine 23
Salisbury Mills

Mark Whitford was a three-time wrestling champion and ranked No. 6 in the state while in high school. His success continued at Seton Hall University. His degree in business management led him to Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City where he worked until he was accepted into the city's fire department. Time never much mattered to Whitford who firmly believed how one spent that time was more important. He became a father 14 months ago when his wife, Renee, gave birth to the couple's twin sons, Timothy and Matthew. The Staten Island man and his family moved to Orange County a year ago. He was 31.
