Those we have lostFirefighter Michael G. Montesi FDNY Rescue 1 Highland Mills  Michael Montesi is remembered by his loved ones as a family man who enjoyed every moment he spent with his three sons – Matthew, 6; Ian, 5, and 3-year-old Ryan. He spent his life serving the public as a firefighter in New York City and as a volunteer firefighter in New Hyde Park and Central Valley. The family had been building a house in the Minisink Valley School District when Montesi was lost Sept. 11. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, three children, his parents, and a sister.
