Michael Fodor was brave. The Staten Island native was decorated four times for bravery in the line of duty during his career as a New York City firefighter. When he wasn't on the job in the city, thw former Eagle Scout belonged to the Monroe-Chester Sportsmen Club and was a scoutmaster for a local Boy Scout troop. He loved to read and enjoyed history, poetry and science. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Nelson Fodor; his daughter, Ashley Elizabeth; two sons, Michael Thomas and Andrew Steven; his parents and two siblings. He was 53.
