Linda Gronlund
Flight 93
Warwick

Linda Gronlund was on her way to California for a vacation in Napa Valley on Sept. 11. She'll be remembered for her bravery, ambition and determination in the face of terrorism. Gronlund, an attorney with BMW who had a stubborn defiance, called her sister and told her the plane had been hijacked and that she and others were planning to take it back. Gronlund then bravely told her sister where to find her personal papers. She was on the doomed plane with her boyfriend and planned to celebrate her 47th birthday the very next day in California's wine country. She was 46.
