Those we have lostCarlos Cortes World Trade Center Manhattan  Carlos Cortes Rodriguez was to celebrate a birthday Sept. 29 -- the day his family and friends said goodbye at a memorial service. He was a loving husband to Laurie Lauterbach Cortes, father to Louis Francisco Cortes Lauterbach, and brother to nine siblings. Cortes was born in Columbia. He worked at the World Trade Center.
